WALES – SNOWDONIA
The road slowly rises towards the pass, beside Mount Snowdon. The road was built in the early 19th century so that miners could carry iron ore from the top to the coast. Today easterly landed clouds carry their burden in the opposite direction from the ocean to the top and they release their load.
